New Line flies to ‘New York’

Kopelsons to produce Nagle's love story

New Line Cinema has acquired “New York State of Mind,” a Margaret Nagle-scripted film that will be produced by Arnold and Anne Kopelson.

The producers describe the script as a fantastical love story, one that will be filmed entirely in Gotham. The Kopelsons are prepping “Killing on Carnival Row,” which Neil Jordan is writing and directing.

The project stands apart from a large development financing deal Kopelson Entertainment made with Houston-based Equus Total Return.

Scribe Nagle earned an Emmy last year for her teleplay for HBO drama “Warm Springs.” She’s also the creator and exec producer of Lifetime drama series “Side Order of Life,” which bowed last month.
