Dr. Neal Cutler to run industry's Center on Aging

The Motion Picture & Television Fund has broadened its services for entertainment industry senior citizens with the opening of a Center on Aging, and the recent hire of financial gerontologist Neal E. Cutler.

The fund, which operates through several care facilities, has represented the interests and needs of the rapidly expanding senior citizen population for more than 86 years. The Center on Aging, located at the fund’s Woodland Hills campus, will continue to address the needs of this demographic with technological, fund-raising and advocacy efforts.

Cutler, who will operate as executive director, comes to the Fund with two decades of experience in financial gerontology — a discipline he developed. He uses data and research to determine the most relevant issues and needs of older adults, which he will then integrate into the center’s programs.

“The combination of our Center on Aging becoming a reality and the hiring of Neal Cutler puts MPTF even more in the forefront of senior care in this country,” said David Tillman, prexy and CEO of MPTF.
