Madman to distribute Arthouse titles

Deal encompasses 10-15 films per year

Indie distrib Arthouse Films and Melbourne-based Madman Entertainment have signed an exclusive output and distribution deal under which Madman will distribute Arthouse titles in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

Deal encompasses 10-15 titles per year.

Initial pics to be released include six documentaries: James Crump’s “Black, White + Gray: A Portrait of Sam Wagstaff and Robert Mapplethorpe,” Esther Robinson’s “A Walk Into the Sea: Danny Williams and the Andy Warhol Factory,” Andrew Neel’s “Alice Neel,” Guillaume Bonn and Jean-Claude Luyat’s “Peter Beard: Scrapbooks From Africa and Beyond,” Pablo Aravena’s “Next: A Primer in Urban Painting” and Tamra Davis’ “Jean-Michel Basquiat.”

Output deals with partners in other territories will be announced at a later date.
