Lightning nabs ‘Bra Boys’ docu

Film grossed a record for docs in Australia

Lightning Entertainment has snagged rights to Aussie surfing doc “Bra Boys,” which is narrated by Russell Crowe and being made into a feature by Universal. The doc grossed a record for docs of $2 million at the wickets Down Under.

Crowe is making his feature directorial debut on Universal and Imagine Entertainment’s feature film “Bra Boys,” a fact-based drama based on the doc. Brian Grazer is producing that film with Stuart Beattie (“Collateral”) writing the screenplay.
