LONDON — Margot Kidder, Noah Segan and Michael Bowen will star in John Daly’s thriller “The Box Collector,” which is financed and produced by Belgium-based outfit Corsan.
The pic about a brooding young artist who falls for a flirtatious young divorcee, despite his overprotective mother’s increasingly crazed efforts to halt any relationship, reps Daly’s third directorial effort following “The Petersburg-Cannes Express” and “The Aryan Couple.”
Daly was an exec producer on “Platoon,” “The Last Emperor” and “The Terminator.”
Kidder is best known as Lois Lane in “Superman” and its sequels. Brooklyn-born Segan appeared in cult teen pic “Brick” and is upcoming in “Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever.”
Bowen will also be seen in “Cabin Fever 2” and has had roles in “Kill Bill Vol. 1,” “Jackie Brown” and “Magnolia.”
Emerging Belgium actress Lyne Renee and Dutch actor Victor Low are also signed up to appear in “The Box Collector,” which begins shooting in Manitoba, Canada next week.
The Corsan financing and production company was founded by Paul Breuls in Antwerp, Belgium in 1989.
The Corsan World Sales arm was launched at Cannes this year and has three other pics on its slate — “Waiting For Dublin,” “Singularity” and “The Hessen Affair.”
