Shooting set to commence this summer

Senator Entertainment has tapped Gregor Jordan (“Ned Kelly”) to direct ensemble drama “The Informers,” adapted from Bret Easton Ellis’ 1995 novel.

Lensing is set to commence this summer. Senator’s Marco Weber will produce, and Ellis, Nicholas Jarecki, Vanessa Coifman and Brian Young will exec produce.

Ellis novel is a collection of connected short stories set in 1983 Los Angeles and featuring movie execs, rock stars, a vampire and other morally challenged characters in tales highlighted by sex, drugs and violence. Ellis and Jarecki penned the adaptation.

Three of Ellis’ novels — “American Psycho,” “Less Than Zero” and “The Rules of Attraction” — have been made into films, but “The Informers” is the first for which he’s written the adaptation.
