Costume designer, 'Atonement'

Like “Atonement” director and fellow Brit Joe Wright, costume designer Durran has worked with Keira Knightley before, earning an Oscar nom for “Pride & Prejudice” in the process. But whereas understatement was key to the realist spin on the Jane Austen classic, “Atonement” allowed Durran to create iconic fashion statements audiences would not soon forget, including undergarments that flatter while diving into fountains and the emerald green evening gown Knightley wears on the critical night of her life.
