Film set up at Thunder Road, Pierce/Williams

Warner Bros. Pictures has bought spec script “Invaders” from scribe Jayson Rothwell and set it up with Basil Iwanyk’s Thunder Road and Pierce/Williams Entertainment to produce.

Action-thriller centers on a group of thieves who are forced by a rogue U.S. government agent to retrieve a video of the president having sex with the wife of an Arab sheik.

Pic takes place in the U.S., Canada, France and South Africa.

Rothwell is working on the script for Fox’s “The A-Team.”Thunder Road, based on the Warners lot, most recently produced McG’s “We Are Marshall” and Harrison Ford starrer “Firewall.”

Along with Iwanyk, producers of Invaders are Mark Williams and Michael Pierce of Pierce/Williams, a production and management firm (“The Cooler,” “Flawless”).

Rothwell is repped by Paradigm and Zero Gravity.
