'Ratatouille,' Affleck among honorees

The Hollywood Film Festival has tapped “Ratatouille,” Casey Affleck, writer Christopher Hampton and visual effects supervisor Scott Farrar for kudos.

The honorees will be recognized at fest’s awards ceremony on Oct. 22 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Affleck nabs breakthrough actor of the year for his roles in “Ocean’s Thirteen,” “Gone Baby Gone” and “The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.” Hampton’s being honored for writing the screenplay for “Atonement.”

Disney/Pixar’s “Ratatouille” will receive the animation award. Industrial Light & Magic’s Farrar will be honored for supervising the visual effects for “Transformers.”
