STOCKHOLM — Filmmakers will again get the chance to pitch projects that need financing at the second Haugesund Film Financing Forum, held as part of the Norwegian Film Festival’s Nordic Co-Production Forum.
The one-day session, held in cooperation with Peacefulfish and PricewaterhouseCoopers, will help filmmakers raise coin via private meetings with potential investors.
“Despite the fact that there are many sources of public support for film in the Nordic region, there is a huge need for private financing,” said Arild Kalkvik, manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers. That subject will be addressed in a panel debate about private investment in films.
The Norwegian Film Festival runs Aug. 17-24, the Co-Production Forum runs Aug. 22-24 and New Nordic Films, showcasing Scandinavian features, runs Aug. 21-24.
