Highest grosser to come from Down Under

The penguins are ready to pounce.

“Happy Feet” is poised to become the biggest box office hit to come from Australia, overtaking current champ “Crocodile Dundee.” The latter earned $328 million worldwide while “Happy Feet” is currently at about $326 million, through last weekend.

Warner Bros. animated pic is directed by Oz native George Miller (“Babe,” “Mad Max”) and produced by his shingle, Kennedy Miller. Domestic box office for the film currently stands at $185 million.
