‘Grapes’ film picks trio

Harring, Vargas, Cedillo to star in 'Bitter'

Thesps Laura Harring, Jacob Vargas and Julio Cedillo have inked to star in Repertorium Films’ upcoming family drama “Bitter Grapes.” Scripted by helmer Leandro Sanchez and producer Megan Sanchez-Warner, pic tells the story of an extended Mexican-American family on both sides of the border. Lensing begins in autumn in the U.S. and Latin America.

Harring’s credits include David Lynch features “Mulholland Drive” and “Inland Empire,” as well as upcoming projects “Nancy Drew” and “Love in the Time of Cholera.” Vargas has appeared in “Traffic,” “The Wendall Baker Story” and upcoming “The Sleep Dealer.” Cedillo (“The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada”) is shooting “In the Electric Mist.”
