Golden Horn blows in South Africa

Nominees will be announced Sept. 28

JOHANNESBURG — The National Film and Video Foundation has opened the call for entries for the second South African film and TV Golden Horn awards.

First edition was held in October in a glitch-marred ceremony in which Oscar foreign language winner “Tsotsi” grabbed the lion’s share of film awards.

Entries close on April 30, nominees will be announced Sept. 28 and the awards will be held Oct. 26 and 27.

Films or TV productions must have been produced and publicly exhibited or broadcast between Oct. 1 2005 and Jan. 31 2007 to qualify.
