Exec oversaw 'Grudge,' 'House' at Columbia
Shannon Gaulding has been elevated to senior VP of production and shifted over to Sony’s Screen Gems label.As VP of production for sister division Columbia Pictures, Gaulding oversaw such films as “The Grudge,” “Monster House,” “Stranger Than Fiction” and the upcoming “30 Days of Night.” Screen Gems prexy Clint Culpepper called Gaulding’s move to his division a real coup. “She has great skills handling projects and is respected by agents, talent and filmmakers alike,” he said. Gaulding joined Col in 1999 as a creative exec. Previously, she toiled as a production exec for Live Entertainment, which later became Artisan Entertainment. Prior to Artisan, Gaulding ran the creative affairs division of Delicious Vinyl, a hip-hop/acid jazz music label. She began her career as a production assistant in musicvideos.
