Film Department signs ‘Pre-Nup’

Graham, Fisher sell romantic comedy script

The Film Department is fast-tracking romantic comedy “The Pre-Nup,” snapping up Jason Graham and Haley Gilbert Fisher’s script and starting discussions with directors.

Pic will be produced by Mark Gill, Robert Katz and Brooklyn Weaver; Neil Sacker and Adam Marshall exec produce. Amanda Coplan is co-producing.

“The Pre-Nup” centers on a middle-class man who’s made his first major financial deal and offers a prenuptial agreement to a woman who turns out to be the daughter of a billionaire.

Fisher has a sketch comedy background, and Graham is a former talent manager. Feature sale is the first for the duo, who met on staff at Writers Boot Camp.

The Film Department was launched earlier this year by Gill and Sacker with a $200 million capitalization. The company plans to fully finance and produce six pics annually, with each budgeted at $10 million-$45 million.
