Film acad picks 24

Students chosen for Asian Film Academy program

Some 24 students from 15 nations have been chosen from 117 applicants to take part in the Asian Film Academy, co-hosted by the Pusan Film Festival, Dongseo U. and the Korean Academy of Film.

Candidates include professors of cinema studies, debut filmmakers with feature-length films and international award-winning cineastes.

For the first time, filmmakers from Nepal and Mongolia applied to the AFA, which will be held from Sept. 27-Oct.13.

Students will produce two shorts that will screen at the 12th Pusan Film Festival, which runs Oct. 4-12.
