Film follows South African choir of orphans

EMI Music has secured U.K. theatrical, DVD and soundtrack distribution rights to Paul Taylor’s doc “We Are Together” (Thina simunye).

Pic, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival on Thursday, chronicles the lives and journeys of children from the Agape Orphanage in South Africa as they form a choir.

Musicians Bono and Alicia Keys, whose charity, Keep a Child Alive, lent support to the film, were among the guests at the preem.

Pic is a Rise Films production in association with the Channel 4 British Documentary Foundation and HBO Documentary Films.

Other territories were still available Monday.
