Constantin pacts with Little Shark

Duo partner on development, production

Constantin Film has inked a three-year first-look deal with Soenke Wortmann’s Little Shark Entertainment.

For Woertmann, who runs Little Shark with partner Tom Spiess, the agreement provides a major partner for the development, production and distribution of joint projects.

Woertmann has worked with a number of different companies in Germany.

His last film, World Cup soccer documentary “Deutschland. Ein Sommermaerchen” (Germany: A Summer Fairytale) was co-produced by Little Shark and regional pubcaster WDR and released by Kinowelt, while 2004’s “The Miracle of Bern” was co-produced with Senator Film, which also distributed.

Woertmann had worked with Constantin in the 1990s on such pics as the hit 1994 comedy “Der bewegte Mann” (Maybe, Maybe Not) and 1996’s “Das Superweib” (The Super Wife).

“Constantin Film is exactly the right partner at the right time,” said Wortmann.
