Exec named VP of national publicity
Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer has named communications executive Kristin Borella as VP of national publicity. Position marks a return to the Lion for Borella, who previously held the job from 2002 to 2005.Reporting to Perry Stahman, President Theatrical Marketing, Borella will oversee national and field publicity activities in conjunction with the MGM marketing department’s efforts on various theatrical film campaigns from both the MGM and United Artists banners. During her previous stint, she oversaw publicity campaigns for releases including “Be Cool,” “Walking Tall,” and “Good Boy.” Borella was most recently a VP for The Angellotti Company where she developed and executed publicity campaigns for feature films from the Yari Film Group and Focus/Rogue Pictures including “The Illusionist,” and “Fearless.” Prior to her initial post with MGM, Borella served as VP with Bumble Ward & Associates from 1998 to 2002.
