Ascot drawn to frightening four

Distrib buys horror pics for German speaking territories

BERLIN — Zurich-based Ascot Elite Entertainment Group has acquired rights to four horror pics for German-speaking territories.

Horror titles include New Zealand Film’s “Black Sheep,” penned and helmed by Jonathan King, Capitol Films’ “Shrooms,” directed by Paddy Breathnach, ThinkFilm’s docu “Going to Pieces — The Rise and Fall of the Slasher Film,” and Shoreline Entertainment’s “The Signal,” helmed by David Bruckner, Dan Bush and Jacob Gentry.
