Universal films to Toho-Towa

Foreign film distrib Toho-Towa will release six pics from Universal by May and 14 altogether.

Leading off the lineup will be “The Bourne Ultimatum,” skedded for a November bow. The other two entries in the series, “The Bourne Supremacy” and “The Bourne Identity,”  were both hits in Japan, earning ¥1.25 billion ($10.3 million) and $13.3 million, respectively.

“Atonement” will follow in December.

For 2008, Toho-Toho will release about one Universal pic a month through May, including “Mr. Bean’s Holiday,” “American Gangster,” “The Golden Age” and “Charley Wilson’s War.”
