The Berlinale Talent Campus kicked off Saturday night with a glitzy award show in Berlin’s old-style Hebbel am Ufer theater.
Berlinale topper Dieter Kosslick and Campus director Dorothee Wenner greeted some 600 guests, including Campus lecturers producer-director Walter Salles, Chinese director Jia Zhangke, composer Jan Kaczmarek and Bosnian filmmaker Jasmila Zbanic.
The Berlin Today Award was presented to “Wasserschlacht — The Great Border Battle,” a short film by Campus alumni Kasia Klimkiewicz and Andrew Friedman. Some 350 participants from 100 countries are attending the Campus. The educational platform runs through Thursday.
