StudioCanal has notched up a slew of deals on Emir Kusturica’s competition title “Promise Me This” and Denys Arcand’s Cannes closer “Days of Darkness.”
The pics aren’t screening until this weekend, but, moving in on the title before its Saturday night preem, Germany’s Kinowelt picked up “Promise Me This” this week. Spain’s Baditri and Greek distrib Audiovisual also took it, bringing the number of territories sold to 17.
Meanwhile some eight deals have closed in Cannes for “Days of Darkness,” which was picked up by Italy’s Bim, and Spain’s Golem.
Pic is also close to a sale in Germany, international sales topper Muriel Sauzay said Wednesday.
