Sony executive’s duties expanded

Gargotta will work with intern'l marketing team

Sony has expanded the creative advertising duties of Tommy Gargotta to incorporate global launches, a growing focus for the conglom.

As senior exec VP of worldwide creative advertising for the Columbia TriStar Marketing Group, he will work closely with the studio’s international marketing division in launching tentpoles on a global scale. Previously, he focused on domestic creative campaigns.

He developed ad campaigns for “Casino Royale,” “The Da Vinci Code” and “Click” and is developing materials for projects including the next James Bond film, “Angels & Demons” and “Surf’s Up.”

Gargotta joined Col six years ago as senior VP of creative advertising. Previously, he was VP and creative director for Intralink Film Graphic Design and chief editor at Trailer Park, a boutique ad agency.
