Senator hires Nitschke

Former X Verleih exec named co-managing director

BERLIN — Berlin-based Senator Film has appointed former X Verleih exec Anatol Nitschke as co-managing director of its theatrical and home entertainment distribution operations.

Overseeing marketing, PR and strategy, Nitschke will share the post with Senator Film managing director Peter Heinzemann.

Nitschke has headed X Verlieh since 2000 and has overseen “Good Bye, Lenin!,” “Sophie Scholl —The Final Days” and “Mein Fuhrer.”

Owned 31% by Senator, X Verleih is the distribution arm of Berlin shingle X Filme, a 56% Senator subsidiary.

Before moving to X Verleih, Nitschke briefly oversaw distribution at Senator from 1999 to 2000.
