Outfest Legacy restores films

Project takes on 'Queen,' 'Children'

The Outfest Legacy Project, a collaboration between Outfest and the UCLA Film & Television Archive, has announced it will restore seminal Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender films “Queens at Heart” and “Choosing Children.”

The decision came after successful screenings in New York and Los Angeles of “Parting Glances,” a film the project restored.

“Glances” screened at Outfest’s 25th anniversary in July at the Directors Guild of America in Los Angeles and the Walter Reade Theater in Gotham on Oct. 29. Pic deals with urban gay life and AIDS in the ’80s.
