Moviehouse Entertainment snap up international sales to Slingshot feature
LONDON — “Sugarhouse,” the first feature from U.K. digital studio Slingshot, has been picked up for international sales by Moviehouse Entertainment.
The urban thriller about a drug deal gone wrong is directed by first-timer Gary Love, based on Dominic Leyton’s play “Collision.” It stars Ashley Walters, Steven Macintosh and Andy Serkis.
Slingshot, based at Ealing Studios in west London, was founded in 2005 by Arvind Ethan David, Rachel Connors, Luke Mon-tagu and Arts Alliance topper Thomas Hoegh to make 10 low-budget digital features over three years.
Its second feature, “French Film,” is being sold internationally by the Works.
