Hit French romantic comedy “I Do” (“Prete-Moi ta main”) will screen at the Montreal World Film Festival, it was announced Monday by fest prexy Serge Losique.
Lead thesp Alain Chabat and director Eric Lartigau will be at the fest for the screening, part of an Aug. 27 tribute to the actor/helmer.
Distrib Alliance Atlantis Vivafilm will bow the film across Quebec on Aug. 31.
“I Do” was a big hit in France late last year, selling 3.6 million tickets in Gaul. It stars Chabat as a bachelor who gets a woman (Charlotte Gainsbourg) to pretend to be his fiance to get his family to stop bugging him about being single.
Montreal fest runs Aug. 23 to Sept. 3.
