Leomax heating ‘Cold’

Co. acquires N. American rights to horror film

Leomax Entertainment has acquired North American rights to Norwegian horror pic “Cold Prey” from Sweden’s Svensk Filmindustri.

“Prey” is the first acquisition for Leomax, launched in February by Ingo Vollkammer and Scott Einbinder.

Pic, which premiered at the 2007 Slamdance fest, centers on a group of friends on a snowboarding trip who are forced to take refuge from a storm in an abandoned ski lodge.

Leomax plans a limited theatrical release followed by an aggressive homevid campaign.
