L.A. festival trumpets ‘Joshua’

Rockwell film screening June 26

Fox Searchlight’s “Joshua” will unspool at the Los Angeles Film Festival as its centerpiece film. The psychological thriller stars Sam Rockwell and Vera Farmiga as the parents of a troubled 9-year-old boy who may be the source of the family’s breakdown.

Pic, helmed by George Ratliff, will be shown at the fest on Tuesday, June 26, at the National Theater.

“Joshua” joins Focus Features’ “Talk to Me,” which will open the fest, and the closing-night selection, Fox Searchlight’s “Sunshine.”

The Los Angeles Film Festival runs June 21-July 1 in Westwood Village.
