DWA ups consumer products topper
DreamWorks Animation consumer products topper Anne Globe is adding marketing to her responsibilities.
Toon studio has promoted Globe to take over the post previously held by Terry Press, who recently ankled.
As head of worldwide marketing and consumer products, she’ll continue to oversee promotional partnerships, while also working with distribution partner Paramount on marketing of DWA’s two releases per year.
Globe has held various promotions and consumer products titles at DreamWorks and DreamWorks Animation since 1996. In the past two years, as head of worldwide consumer products and promotion, she has helped DWA forge partnerships with McDonalds, AOL and Kellogg’s, as well as to extend its vidgame licensing pact with Activision.
“By virtue of running the promotions and licensing areas and DreamWorks Animation branding, she has been involved in our marketing relationship with Paramount and this was a very comfortable move for everyone,” DWA topper Jeffrey Katzenberg told Daily Variety.
He added that the studio may shift other staffers to take on more responsibilities due to Globe’s expanded duties.
Press continues to consult for DreamWorks Animation, as well as with other studios on non-animation projects.
