Egyptian to host Ertegun tribute

Event to include documentary screening

A tribute to Ahmet Ertegun will take place tonight at the Egyptian Theater.

Performers including Stevie Nicks, Phil Ramone, Diane Warren and Solomon Burke will gather to salute the Atlantic Records founder.

Ertegun died after a backstage accident at a Rolling Stones concert last year. Today would have been his 84th birthday.

Tribute is presented by the American Cinematheque as part of its eighth annual Mods & Rockers Festival.

Evening will also include a special screening of the “American Masters” docu “Atlantic Records: The House That Ahmet Built.”
