Disney’s ‘Ratatouille’ in festival

Event will include more than 200 features

“Ratatouille” will provide the first course at this year’s Jerusalem Film Festival as opener of the event, set to unspool July 5-14.

Disney-Pixar pic, about a Parisian rodent who lives inside a fancy restaurant and has taught himself to cook, is the second animated feature to kick off proceedings at the traditionally political fest. In 2001 DreamWorks’ “Shrek” made its opening-night bow.

The 24th Jerusalem film fest will include more than 200 features from around the world and also see the reopening of the Jerusalem Cinematheque following a yearlong renovation.
