Coraci goes ‘Mild’

Director attached to New Line comedy

New Line’s tapped Frank Coraci (“Click”) to helm “Mild Things,” a comedy project set up with Peter Principato and Paul Young.

Script by Michael Colton and John Aboud centers on a married couple who decide to go on a “baby bender,” spending a few months partying like rock stars, before having their first child.

For Coraci, teaming with New Line represents a homecoming since his first major success came nine years ago when he directed “The Wedding Singer” for the mini-major.

Upcoming Principato-Young projects include “Space Invader,” with Will Arnett, at Fox Atomic; “Me Time,” with Jim Carrey, at Fox; and “The Way Back,” with Shawn Levy directing, at Fox Searchlight.
