Church to co-star in ‘NowhereLand’

Eddie Murphy comedy set for fall '08

Thomas Haden Church will star opposite Eddie Murphy in Paramount’s laffer “NowhereLand,” which is set for a Sept. 26, 2008, release.

Director Karey Kirkpatrick begins lensing next month from a script by Ed Solomon and Chris Matheson. Lorenzo di Bonaventura is producing with Solomon.

Storyline revolves around a successful finance exec, played by Murphy, whose career suddenly goes down the drain. He finds the answers to his problems within the magical world created by his daughter. Church will play the man’s ruthlessly ambitious rival at work.

Project reunites Church and Kirkpatrick, who worked together on “Over the Hedge,” which Kirkpatrick directed and Church provided a voice.

Church (“Spider-Man 3,” “Sideways”) has a lead voice role in Disney’s upcoming toon “Bolt.”
