BERLIN — Leading Swiss independent film distrib Ascot Elite Entertainment has beefed up its 2007/08 slate with five high-profile productions.
They include Mike Newell’s “Love in the Time of Cholera” and Ethan and Joel Coen’s Brad Pitt/George Clooney starrer “Burn After Reading.”
Company also nabbed Nike Caro’s “The Vintner’s Luck” from NZ Film, Joe Carnahan’s “White Jazz,” also starring Clooney, from Mandate Pictures, and Fernando Mereilles’ “Blindness” from Focus Features starring Julianne Moore and Mark Ruffalo.
Focus is also repping “Burn After Reading.”
“Love in the Time of Cholera,” handled internationally by Summit, is due to hit theaters in Germany in November via Berlin-based distrib Tobis.
