Executive named exec VP of production
Universal Pictures has elevated Dylan Clark to exec VP of production.
Clark, formerly senior VP of production, joins fellow exec VPs Peter Cramer and Holly Bario as the second tier of execs under production prexy Donna Langley.
Clark, who joined the studio in 2001 as production VP, earned his senior veep stripes in 2004. In his five years at the studio, he has overseen pics including “Dawn of the Dead,” “Friday Night Lights,” “The Good Shepherd” and “Children of Men.” He often works on films generated by on-the-lot U producers like Imagine’s Brian Grazer, Working Title’s Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner, Stuber/Parent’s Scott Stuber and Mary Parent and Strike Entertainment’s Marc Abraham and Eric Newman.
Clark is shepherding the Peter Berg-directed “The Kingdom,” Shekhar Kapur’s “Elizabeth” sequel “The Golden Age” and Mike Nichols’ “Charlie Wilson’s War.” The George Clooney-directed “Leatherheads” is shooting, and production begins in the late fall on Clint Eastwood’s “The Changeling,” which will star Angelina Jolie.
Clark has served prior stints at MGM, Fox 2000 and Kevin Williamson’s Outerbanks Entertainment.
