Shieh to Paramount literary unit

Exec named director of development

Aimee Shieh has been appointed director of development of Paramount Pictures’ East Coast literary affairs department.

Shieh previously spent three years at Par but left in 2001. In the interim, she produced the short film “A Tale of Two” and exec produced the feature “One Last Dance.” She also worked as a scout for Kopelson Entertainment and as an event producer at the Museum of Modern Art.

Shieh reports to VP Patricia Burke, who runs the Gotham lit office. One of the books they recently brought in is Justin Evans’ first novel, “A Good and Happy Child,” which Paramount Vantage and producer Nick Wechsler bought. Evans once worked as director of development for Par’s Gotham office.
