Weather doesn't deter fans at 'Phoenix' preem
LONDON — In a dramatic portent that Voldemort is truly back, an unseasonable hail and thunderstorm swept over London Tuesday just before the European premiere of “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.”
The weather didn’t deter the usual rabid fans from gathering outside the Odeon Leicester Square and screaming at the cast, the attendant celebs and, queen of them all, author J.K. Rowling, who signed dozens of books thrust under her nose. Warner Bros. prexy Alan Horn, WB’s U.K. topper Josh Berger, producer David Heyman, rookie helmer David Yates and star Daniel Radcliffe all addressed the invited crowd inside the cinema, which included most of the movie’s huge British cast and many crew members.
Pic went down a storm to match the earlier conditions outside.
