‘Potter’ casts a spell on box office

'Order of the Phoenix' up to $88.4 million

Warner Bros.’ “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” made an estimated $25.8 million on Friday, pushing the film’s cume to $88.4 million.

DreamWorks and Paramount’s “Transformers” neared the $200 million mark in its second frame, making an estimated $10.8 million on Friday and upping the film’s cume $197.8 million.

Holdovers “Ratatouille” and “Live Free or Die Hard” also held up well heading into the weekend. Disney-Pixar’s “Ratatouille” made $5.5 million in estimated Friday tickets sales for a new total of $130.5 million. “Live Free” made $3.2 million, pushing the actioner’s total take to $95.2 million.

Warner Bros. laffer “License to Wed” likewise didn’t see a steep decline, taking in $2.4 million on Friday for a new cume of $25.3 million.

Expanding to 756 theaters, Michael Moore’s docu sicko made an estimated $700,000 on Friday for a new cume of $13.9 mil-lion.
