LONDON — Ralph Fiennes has joined Keira Knightley in Saul Dibb’s “The Duchess,” which starts shooting Sept. 23 in London.
Based on Amanda Foreman’s biography of the scandalous 18th-century English aristocrat Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire, the movie is being co-financed by Pathe and BBC Films. Hayley Atwell and Dominic Cooper have also been cast.
Producers are Michael Kuhn of Qwerty Films and Gabrielle Tana of Magnolia Mae Prods.
Knightley stars as Georgiana; Fiennes will play her husband, the Duke of Devonshire; with Cooper as her lover Earl Grey; and Atwell as her best friend, Lady Bess Foster.
