Olivier Raoux

Production designer, 'La Vie en rose'

Born in the 300-person French village of Grandru, production designer Raoux started out under a variety of established French directors. He first worked with helmer Olivier Dahan on “Crimson Rivers 2” in 2004 before joining him on this year’s “La Vie en rose.” Raoux’s convincing Parisian landscape, stretching all the way from 1918 to 1963, took us from the gritty streets of Belleville to the finest concert halls of Paris and beyond, painting scenes with subtle accuracy and enabling viewers to focus on story.
