Jonathan Sehring

Gotham Tribute

During his 10 years as head of IFC Entertainment, Sehring has seen countless business models (not to mention companies and careers) come and go. Rather than follow the pack, Sehring has innovated. In 2005, he presided over the launch of the IFC Center in Greenwich Village and also reimagined indie distribution with the launch of IFC First Take, a service that releases pics simultaneously in theaters and on TV via video-on-demand.

“My career has been devoted to coming up with ways of getting specialized films to broad audiences, while also being financially viable,” he says. “Right now, I’m happy to say we’re doing just that.”
