Hyphenate Judd Apatow will be touted as 2007’s outstanding film showman at the 45th annual IGC Publicists Awards.
The writer, director and helmer will be honored by the publicists guild for his recent string of successful laffers, including “Knocked Up” (which he directed) and “Superbad” (which he produced). Apatow’s 2007 pics have raked in more than $270 million domestically. His third release of the year, “Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story,” opens Dec. 21.
ICG will fete Apatow and present six other awards at its annual luncheon Feb. 5 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
