Herskovitz honored by Caucus

Industry vet to receive New Vision Award

Helmer, producer and scribe Marshall Herskovitz has been tapped to receive the Silver Anniversary New Vision Award from Caucus for Television Producers, Writers and Directors.

Caucus has also nommed several other industry mainstays for separate honors, including producers Paul Attanasio, David Chase, and Jon Stewart, helmers Bruce Gowers and Michael Zinberg, writers David Mamet and Shonda Rhimes, as well as actors Glenn Close, Kyra Sedgwick and Gary Sinise.

Herskovitz’s long resume includes the acclaimed ABC series “thirtysomething,” “My So-Called Life” and “Once and Again” and such pics as “Legends of the Fall,” “Traffic,” “Blood Diamond,” and “Jack the Bear.” He’s also at present prexy of the Producers Guild of America. His most recent endeavor with longtime collaborator Ed Zwick is the new digital series, titled “quarterlife.”

Caucus has also nommed several other industry mainstays for separate honors, including producers Paul Attanasio, David Chase, and Jon Stewart, helmers Bruce Gowers and Michael Zinberg, writers David Mamet and Shonda Rhimes, as well as actors Glenn Close, Kyra Sedgwick and Gary Sinise.

Herskovitz will be feted along with others Dec. 7 at the Caucus’ annual gala at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
