Seven CDs celebrate award show's 50th

Seven CDs commemorating the Grammy Awards’ 50th anniversary will be released by Shout! Factory.

The “Ultimate Grammy Collection” albums will feature winning tracks from four of the awards’ major genres. Contemporary R&B and contemporary pop sets will be released Nov. 27; contempo rock, classic country, contempo country, classic R&B and classic pop will be released Jan. 8. Each disc will contain 16 tracks.

Contempo R&B disc includes Anita Baker’s “Giving You The Best That I Got,” Soul II Soul’s “Back To Life (However Do You Want Me)” and TLC’s “No Scrubs”; pop disc includes k.d. lang’s “Constant Craving,” Brian Setzer Orchestra’s “Jump Jive An’ Wail” and Justin Timberlake’s “Cry Me A River.”

On Nov. 30, CBS will air “My Night at the Grammys,” a two-hour special highlighting 25 favorite Grammy moments as voted on by fans.
