Globes set to fete Steven Spielberg

Director is this year's Cecil B. DeMille Honoree

The latest to receive the HFPA honor for “outstanding contribution to the entertainment field,” the helmer has won six previous Globes. Two have come for directing (“Schindler’s List” and “Saving Private Ryan”), while three of his films have won best pic prizes (“E.T.,” ” Schindler’s List” and “Ryan”). And as producer of “Letters From Iwo Jima,” Spielberg shared the foreign-language pic trophy last year.
