APSA search for producer

Broadcaster void sees Jigsaw leave deal

The Asia Pacific Screen Awards, set for Nov. 13, are revving up their search for a production company after lengthy talks have ended with Jigsaw Prods.

The ambitious kudofest, driven by the government-backed Queensland Events Corp., will be held on Queensland’s Gold Coast. The kudos celebrate pics selected from more than 60 countries as far afield as the Middle East, Southeast Asia and the Pacific.

Clips from the inaugural event will be included in documentary-style programs on CNN Intl. but organizers have not yet set a broadcaster or cabler to screen the entire kudofest.
