Brazil’s Lumiere/EBA and India’s Infinity FCS have greenlit the first two movies under a production pact.
First up is “Colours of Passion,” to be helmed by Ketan Mehta. Pic will be co-produced by Deepa Sahi and Aanand Mahendro. Next will be “Plastic City,” by Chinese d.p.-turned-helmer Yu Likwai.
Deals were initiated by Novo Films, a new Paris-based world cinema company headed by Francois Da Silva, who briefly ran the Cannes fest’s Directors’ Fortnight and was a global talent scout for EuropaCorp.
Infinity is a film completion guarantor that is branching into film financing. Lumiere is a producer-distrib.
