Fortissimo picks up int’l rights to ‘Sun’

Unit acquires distribution to Israeli documentary

Fortissimo Films has picked up world distribution rights outside the U.S. and Israel to Israeli documentary “Children of the Sun.”

The Toronto-bound pic is helmed by Ran Tal and preemed at the recent Jerusalem festival.

Title refers to children born in the 1920s and 1930s during the first years of Zionist kibbutzim who were brought up outside the normal nuclear family system. Pic was produced by Lama Films.

Last week Hong Kong and Amsterdam-based Fortissimo picked up Jan Schuette’s “Love Comes Lately,” which will also preem in Toronto.
